Affiliations
Aikido
of San Jose
opened in 1976 in historic Japan Town in San Jose. It is a place for
self-exploration and self-discovery which emphasizes the martial arts
as a tool for the betterment of both the individual and society. Jack
Wada-sensei is chief instructor and has been teaching Aikido since
1974. He holds a 6th dan (degree black belt).
CAA
The California Aikido Association (CAA, formerly Aikido
Association of Northern California or AANC) was created in 1974 and
is headed by Robert Nadeau-sensei (7th dan, shihan), Frank Doran-sensei
(7th dan, shihan) and Pat Hendricks-sensei (6th dan). The CAA is
dedicated to the task of exploring the path shown by Master Ueshiba and
to teaching Aikido to all those who wish to follow the path. The CAA is
affiliated with Hombu Dojo, Aikido Headquarters, in Tokyo, Japan.
Aikido of Los Gatos is part of Division III under
Nadeau-sensei (7th dan, shihan).

Community Education and Recreation Center
This unique public recreation center provides wonderful facilities to
many programs. Aikido of Los Gatos has called this facility home since
