What is Aikido?
Aikido is a dynamic Japanese martial art
that teaches unification of mind, body and spirit, which helps to bring
us back in harmony with nature. Through Aikido training, we become more
centered and more aware of our environment.
Where does Aikido come from?
Founded by Morihei Ueshiba in Japan in
the early part of the 20th century, Aikido's philosophy is to protect
oneself against aggressive attacks by blending and neutralizing them.
In addition to self-defense, Aikido is excellent for physical exercise,
emotional well-being and spiritual development.
About Aikido of Los Gatos
Aikido of Los Gatos has been operating
through the Los Gatos
Recreation Department since 1986. We have a
non-competitive environment, where everyone is welcome. Our instructors
